2.7.1 Release Notes

Contest Behaviors from Scorecard Metrics

We’re always looking for ways to improve the experience for our Contest Builders. We’re excited to announce that as of today, you can use an already existing Scorecard metric as a contest behavior when building out a contest. This creates a streamlined and easy way for you to use contests as a way to impact your Scorecard metrics that you already have running.

When you begin to build a contest, you’ll now see a checkbox on this page, and clicking this checkbox will enable a dropdown of all of your existing metrics.

  • Reminder: You must have Scorecard version 2.2 or later installed to use this feature. If you do not have this installed, this checkbox will not be visible.

Contest Behaviors 2

We’ve made this as easy as possible for you, so once you select a metric, a portion of the behavior form will pre-populate. We’ll also disable fields that won’t be applicable to the metric you’ve selected, and we’ll only show you eligible metrics based on the other criteria in your contest. This way you won’t be led to create an invalid contest.

Bonus! Contest admins will also be able to run a report and see the metric IDs that were used to create behaviors. This will allow you to measure the effectiveness of behaviors in contests.

Advanced Filter Logic

Many of you are already used to the advanced filtering that is available in Salesforce. We’ve built out a new feature within our system that will utilize the same kind of filtering set up in the Scorecard builder.

Now, when configuring Scorecard, you’ll have the option to enable advanced filtering by clicking a checkbox that says “Use advanced filter logic.” If you check that box, the filter logic details will then appear directly below.

  • Note: This is completely optional, and you do not have to enable this to build out Scorecard.

We’ll make sure that your filter logic is valid, and you won’t be able to save your metric unless our system has confirmed that it is valid.

Bonus! If you need help at any time while setting up your filter logic, you can click the question mark directly on the page. This will take you to our support site with more information about how to successfully set up advanced filter logic.

Percent to Target Leaderboard

We’ve heard that many of you would like the option to view leaderboards in Scorecard ranked by percent to target instead of just by total score. Because everyone has different targets, this new feature will establish a more level playing field across the leaderboard.

Percent to Target

To implement Percent to Target in your leaderboard, you’ll update that specific metric configuration.

  • You’ll see the question on the metric assignment that says “How would you like this leaderboard ranked?”
  • From there, you’ll have the option to select “By score” or “By percent to target.”
  • Note: “By score” will be the default selection here so no additional steps are needed if that’s how you will be ranking your leaderboard.

When it comes to Teams, we’ve got you covered! If a Scorecard manager views a profile that has Teams enabled, that team leaderboard will be ranked by percentage if configured to do so. Your view of a team’s leaderboard will always be consistent with the ranking setup of that leaderboard.

Bonus! Your weekly digest email will be consistent with the selection you’ve made. If you have opted to rank your leaderboards by percent to target, that information will display that same way in your email.
